Bridget Earle, as usual, did a sterling job as Secretary with assistance during the 5 days from Jill Drury. Once again Barb Piggott acted as our Tournament Referee, for which we were very grateful. Tim Woolford-Smith was setting the lawns every morning and taking out hoops at the end of play, and generally helping out where he was needed, as well as competing. “Shorty”, our greenkeeper had the lawns in the best condition possible after such a dreadful year of wet weather. Susan Shenton was again invaluable in the kitchen providing all our guests with their Presentation Dinner as well as being a substitute player. A big “Thank You” to everyone who helped during these five days, and for the very welcome raffle donations.
Social Functions were well attended, with a great night out at The Westport Club and the Presentation Dinner held in our Clubhouse.
Bridget has compiled a collage from the photos taken during the week by Robin Shenton and has sent the players a copy as a memento. All that is left to be said is “Roll on 2023”.
