Port Hacking Croquet Club
Using the format which had been so successful on Easter Monday, another Lightning Doubles (7 hoop games) tournament was held on the October Monday holiday. This time each team was made up of a novice GC player and an experienced GC player.
There were sixteen doubles teams in all - 10 from Port Hacking Club, 5 from Sutherland Club and one mixed team with a member from each club (these two ladies knew each other from playing bowls together).
The tournament provided a very valuable opportunity to mentor new players in a "real" competition situation and also gave them a taste of the fun to be had from participating in a GC tournament. They all said they were hooked!!!
