Below is the information regarding the three brooch events to be held shortly. As the preliminary rounds of these events are to be held in regions throughout NSW it is hoped that the interest shown in the Beryl Chambers will be repeated in these competitions.
Organise the players in your own regional event or enter individually and see who else enters from the region.
These details have been sent to all clubs in the mail out from Croquet NSW on 29 June.

These three levels events are to be played during August and September as shown below.

HOW IT WORKS
Each region will have a preliminary block round robin during the dates specified above. This will be at a venue or venues to be determined within the region
Between one and three players from each region, depending on the number of players, will be entitled to play in the final series in Sydney against other regional qualifiers.
If there are only entries from one region in any division the initial block round will also be the final and will be played in the region where the players are from.
Any player who enters and there is no regional event is his/her area will be given three choices:
WINNER
The winner in each division receives a gold, silver or bronze plated brooch in the design of a croquet mallet.
HOST CLUBS
Clubs hosting matches in this event will be able to claim the normal CNSW lawn hire fee of $5.00 per game (maximum of $20 per lawn per day for 4 games in 2 sessions double banked).
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COUNTRY PLAYERS
75% of the entry fees from all regional events (less the lawn hire fees paid to clubs) will be set aside to assist with the cost of travel and accommodation to Sydney for the final series. Reimbursement would be proportional to expenses incurred. It is hoped this will be in the range of $40 to $50 for players paying for accommodation.
We are trying to spread the playing of competitions around NSW and I hope that there are some regional entries in each division.
