Whilst the State Coaching Director is principally involved in the training of new Accredited Coaches and the refreshing or upgrading of skills of all coaches, it is the belief of all members of the Coaching Committee that the availability of quality coaching to all players should also be a part of their commitment to croquet, whenever the opportunity arises.
The Coaching Committee is in the process of organising a Coaching Programme for 2006 and all clubs are invited to have input. At this stage there are tentative commitments to the Far North Coast in June, 2006; Upper Blue Mountains in the autumn, 2006 and Beginner Coach and Level 1 workshops at Strathfield during the autumn and spring, subject to court availability.
Players who have already contacted me regarding coach training workshops have had their names noted and they will be advised at a later date with details of location and date/s of workshops.
It would be appreciated if all clubs could discuss their needs and let me know by the end of 2005 if they wish to be included in the 2006 programme. Please identify your Club’s needs, i.e. indicate what type of coaching you would find most useful.
