Some "croquet" was filmed at VCC Cairnlea recently.

The TV show "After the Bounce" is aired on the Fox Footy channel at 7:30 pm (eastern time) on Sundays. The show is co-hosted by ex AFL players Jason Dunstall and Danny Frawley who in each show challenge each other to compete in another show. The producer approached VCA for permission to include croquet and film at VCC. Working on the principle that all advertising is good advertising, we agreed.

The light-hearted challenge between Jason & Danny, which was mediated(?) by Andrew Gaze, ex-Olympic basketball player, is due to air on Sunday, 12th August 2012, with a teaser on 5th August.

New South Wales has won the 2012 Eire Cup, held this year in Western Australia. Full details...

Writes president John Compton: "CNSW congratulates the members of the NSW Eire Cup team for retaining the Eire Cup for the third consecutive year. Congratulations to Alison, Clare, Rosemary, Charlotte, Pam, Peter, Stephen, Jim, Tim and Ken for a job well done. Once again it came down to the final day and the match against Victoria. NSW wrapped the game up by early afternoon when Alison and Clare won their reverse singles but the final score of 13 games to 7 did not truly reflect the closeness of the contest nor the tension felt by all (especially the NSW supporters). There were too many highlights and heros/heroines to include here but a full report will no doubt find its way onto the web when manager Pam and captain Rosie get their feet back on the ground."

David Stanton from the Cammeray club adds: "Rosie Graham won all 10 of her singles games, and Alison Sharpe only lost 1 game, bringing to an end a run of 24 consecutive interstate singles wins. All up, the NSW women lost only 7 games out of 50 played, and the men lost 12 out of 50."
