The CNSW Board has this evening accepted Peter Coles' resignation as a CNSW Director, effective immediately. The Board requested this due to the Chair having provided obvious support to a number of candidates which ran counter to the Boards commitment to impartiality in elections. The Board will continue to run the election for four (4) Elected Directors at the upcoming AGM and will advise Clubs if there are any changes to the list of candidates whom have nominated. The now two (2) casual vacancies will be filled by Board appointment at the earliest possible Board meeting.

AGM and Election for Directors

In the past week you may have received communications from the Chair regarding the upcoming election for Directors. Unfortunately these communications contained inaccuracies, primarily about electoral procedure. Due to the number of nominations received, the Board had to determine a voting process that was fair and equitable to both nominees and voting members (the clubs). The election procedure was finalised by the Board at 8.59pm on Wednesday 9th August.

Clubs and their delegates have now received all of the election materials from the Secretary, including nominee information, election procedure and proxy voting slips. All of this has been checked thoroughly to ensure the election is conducted in accordance with the constitution and is fair and equitable.

We encourage you to give proper and due consideration to the 4 nominees you will vote for at the AGM.
